Where Entrepreneurship Comes From

A different perspective in this paper by Jesper Sorensen & Amanda J. Sharkey
In particular, our theory and evidence suggest that employees of firms with lower wage ceilings or a greater span of control are more likely to leave for entrepreneurship than to join other firms (pp. 37-38). 
Which I see as good news for societies with high hierarchical and control structures (if correlated with high power distance) such as  Guatemala.
