Predictions for Nobel Prizes are starting to come out. For this year I am not going to make any, since I failed badly last year. However, there are some fields that will get Nobel Prizes in the future, or at least that is my hope:
1) Field experiments (RCTs).
2) Economics Blogging.
3) Humanities and economics.
Add. 4) Institutional Economics.
Add. 4) Institutional Economics.
Why bloggers? You might ask. Basically bloggers like Alex and Tyler at Marginal Revolution have done a great effort to make economics available to the general public. Besides their contributions to the economics debate on monetary policy, innovation, etc., etc., they have shaped a large audience that are now more aware of the economic way of thinking.
