I had the opportunity to participate in a conversation on violence in Guatemala. It is in Spanish.
The introductory interviews are shocking. Carlos Mendoza, an expert on violence in Guatemala, also talks at the beginning. I talked about how Guatemalans perceive violence (min. 18:48), emotional costs of violence (min. 23:43, I referred to this study), drug regulation (or deregulation) (min. 29:45, I referred to this study in Mexico - although, obviously, Guatemala is not Mexico, there are characteristics in common), new, possible, solutions (min. 32:45), violence in Guatemala as a "perfect storm" (min. 36:36).
Thanks to EP for the invitation.
