He has died. For me his "Things Fall Apart" occupies a very special place, along with Márquez's "One Hundred Years of Solitude." They are different novels, but very similar in the way they became foundations for literature that came after. I have used his "A Man of the People" and "No Longer at Easy" in political economy classes. RIP.
