Social entrepreneur of the day

Toms is a company that practices the "one for one" aid philosophy. That means that when you buy a pair of shoes from them Toms give a pair for free to kids in the developing world. Well, this model has been seriously criticized because, it is argued, it displaces local productive capacity. This is an example of the serious criticism of the Toms shoes model.

Toms has a new product: for every pair of glasses you purchase they will give sight to one person in need.

Looks like a nice come back.
