Entrepreneurial Propensity in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and El Salvador

For entrepreneurial propensity, we found that entrepreneurship, defined as being an employer, is characteristic of only a small segment of the population, i.e., less than 10 percent with some variance among the countries studied.
That is from the conclusions of this paper ("Entrepreneurship, Economic Mobility, and Entrepreneurial Propensity: A Regional View Based on the Analysis of Selected Latin American Countries," by Kantis, Federico, and Trajtenberg - July 2012).
